I carved this piece in 2004 intending to enter it in competition at the 2005 World Fish Carving Championships. However, I was asked to step in as a judge at the last minute which barred me from competing that year. It is, by far, the most interesting wall mount carving I've done to date. It surprised even me with wins at 4 major shows.
